Corporal punishment of children is a violation of children's rights of physical integrity, human dignity and equal protection under the law. The physical and psychological harm caused by violence impacts on the future development of children as confident and independent individuals.

The project "BE supportive, NOT violent! Positive parenting for happy children!" will develop a new model of parenting education that promotes positive and non-violent child raising based on stress and anger management and recognition and empowerment of children's attitudes, achievements and abilities.

Parents from the target group will receive training based on the new educational model in order to improve their parental skills and be able to raise properly their children in a positive and non-violent way.

This website of the project is meant to be an interface between the project and the large public, as well as an useful educational tool for parents and social stakeholders as it will host the main educational and informative materials of the project, such as: the model of parenting education, booklets for parents, children and policy makers, research on the national programmes and legislations against corporal punishment of children.
